Troy is an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist and an NSCA Certified Personal Trainer who found his way to Oregon by way of Kentucky. While living in the bluegrass state, he received his B.S in Exercise Science from the University of Kentucky. He has since spent time with the UK Gill Heart Cardiopulmonary Rehab cultivating an understanding of how to help bring a body back to function following physical trauma. During his moments at the facility he worked alongside a crew to monitor patients presenting a multitude of diagnoses including: Cardiomyopathy, Stroke, COPD, Myocardial Infarction and various other cardiopulmonary and orthopedic disorders.
Concurrent to this experience, Troy was employed at an elite training facility in Lexington where he worked alongside physical therapists and master trainers to help optimize movement for everyone from the weekend warrior to high level athletes. He approaches each client with a principle of individuality, meaning everybody and every body is different. By invoking movement patterns to identify weak links in the chain, he has been able to help clients gain great insight to the mechanics contributing to their pains. This analysis is followed up by protocols proven to help strengthen and reconnect the mind-body connection. At the end of the day, Troy believes training should look back at your history but set sights on your goals.
